In March 2015 Campia Turzii became for the second consecutive year the only city in Romania where all dogs with master were vaccinated, microchipped, inventoried and registered with pass-card, this action resulting in a significant decrease in abandonment cases .
On the occasion of the completion of this second campaign microchipping, held by the Association R.E.A.D.C. Turda, together with partners Tasso e.V. Germany, ost vaccinated, microchipped, inventoried and registered with pass-card. The benefits of this action is a significant decrease in the number of abandonment cases.
On March 25 a press conference at City Hall Campia Turzii - Europe Meeting, which was attended by President of the Association Tasso e.V. Germany, Philip McCreight, deputy mayor of Campia Turzii, Avram Marius Gal, veterinarians in the city and the local media.
At the conference, R.E.A.D.C., together with international partners Tasso e.V. in Germany, presented to the leadership municipality Campia Turzii and the town's citizens the results of the inventory, monitoring, registration and vaccination of dog population in the city for the year 2014 - 2015, according to the protocol signed between the City Council and the electronic register of livestock and Company, on 1 November 2013. Dogs microchip number was 1,400. According to the project coordinator, Marin Bleidner below 2% of households remained unverified, but people who could not be contacted were notified to report to the veterinarian engaged in this project for animals to be microchipped.
This principle was applied for three consecutive years, with great success, to the satisfaction of the citizens of the city of Campia Turzii, who saved the payment of registration between 50-100 lei, or fines between 5,000 - 10,000 motor lei applicable this year. Also due to this activity, registered dogs dropout rate was reduced to 0. The local budget allocated costs were reduced rendering intervention teams. All this was possible thanks to constant monitoring by telephone.
The whole social action was free, the donation Association Tasso e.V. Germany and the application and operation were provided by the Association R.E.A.D.C. Turda, as a gesture of European solidarity and help for owners and animal lovers in the town of Campia Turzii.
