Association "Registrul Electronic al Animalelor Domestice si de Companie" Turda, in partnership with Tasso e.V. Germany, in collaboration with the City Nufăru, in Tulcea county, with whom we signed a protocol with the support of veterinarian concessionaire Dumitru Bazbanela, completed the campaign identification, microchipping, anti-rabies vaccination and deworming internal and external dogs stray on across localities in common: Nufăru Ilganii Lower Malcoci and Victoria. The action was carried out between November 2015 - February 2016, and has enjoyed great success, all stray dogs be microchipped and registered for free.
Our project supports citizens who can not afford to pay private offices microchipping of dogs to veterinarians. Labor and material costs were fully paid R.E.A.D.C. Turda and Tasso e.V. Germany.
Another goal of the campaign is to protect residents and tourists in the Danube Delta of an outbreak of rabies, which can occur anytime due jackals who left without food, enters the court, thus representing a danger for both humans and animal.
Team R.E.A.D.C. He was present at Nufărul, where the mayor signed the protocol with local authorities and proposed solutions to the problem and stray dogs.
In parallel with microchipping and treatment of dogs, we conducted a campaign to educate primary school children in relation to the responsibility of owning a pet and rabies prevention methods. Our team presented "Educational ABC" manual published and distributed free to all students and teachers by R.E.A.D.C.
Students were informed of where to buy / adopt a pet, what considerations should take into account when choosing a breed of dog, you should take your pet to the veterinarian, and they were told what their responsibilities when owning a pet, both in terms of veterinary and administratively.
Because, as I mentioned the possibility of an outbreak of rabies is very high in this region, we have described students how manifest the disease and the risks and stressing that it can be transmitted from animals to humans and I warned regarding the measures to be taken for their safety.
I also addressed the mandatory microchipping and registration of all dogs and the vaccination against rabies in dogs and cats.
Action R.E.A.D.C. Turda in collaboration with Tasso e.V. Germany and Hall Nufăru has prevented obligations under the law that requires microchipping and sterilization of dogs not race, otherwise the dog owners are liable to fines of up to 5,000 lei.
