Press Release - Free microchipping and vaccination campaing of stray dogs at Maciuca, jud. Valcea

Association "Registrul Electronic al Animalelor Domestice și de Companie" Turda, together with the Association partner Tasso e.V. Germany, signed a protocol with the City and the veterinarian's office "112vet" in Măciuca, jud. Valcea, under which conducted a campaign registration, microchipping and vaccination of dogs master of the locality, and a program to educate children in classes I-IV, on the responsibility of owning a pet.

The action is free for citizens, saving them significant amounts of money. Campaign costs are borne entirely by R.E.A.D.C. Turda and Tasso e.V. Germany.

Under this protocol, R.E.A.D.C. It provides citizens:

•     Free registration and microchipping of dogs;
• A series of reflective plate of dog identification and permanent switchboard number. The plate is an animal belonging to an owner. If it loses, the person who finds him will call to the PBX permanent representatives of our association and we will contact the owner to help him recover his dog;
• A membership card R.E.A.D.C., the data is written to the owner and the animal;
• Monitoring dogs through permanent PABX, to which their owners can call if they are lost or stolen animals. Association with the help of partner Tasso e.V. Germany is the largest European registry monitoring animals, dogs registered with us are monitored throughout Europe.
          
  

At the same time, we conduct a campaign to educate students in grades I-IV, with the support "ABC Education", published and distributed for free by the representatives of the association. One purpose of these presentations is to inform students about rabies. Provide details about the disease and its risks, noting that it can be transmitted from animals to humans, and warn students regarding the measures to be taken for their safety.

The basic principle adopted by R.E.A.D.C. and partner Tasso e.V. is appropriate behavior in human-animal coexistence, cultivated through a process of education, still in school.

Also addressing mandatory microchipping, registration and vaccination of all dogs master and benefits reflective plate attachment to dogs collar with the owner, and measures indicated for finding such an animal.

This danger was reached after rabies vaccination compliance of microchipping and registration. The effect was that the number has decreased considerably vaccinated dogs (less than 20% of the canine population in Romania is vaccinated!). Many dog ​​owners have avoided rabies vaccination, because of the high cost of microchipping operation.

We believe we have a moral obligation to prevent accidental infection with rabies and take the necessary steps to regularize the situation described above.
