Salvamont Centre of Belis saves two puppies
Doru Iuga from the Salvamont Rescue Center in Beliș became a lifeguard by his admirable gesture of saving two puppies, aged just six weeks, from the waters of Lake Beliș-Fântânele.The man, seeing them struggling to survive, was moved with compassion and gave them another chance at life.
The puppies named Fântânica and Becky, are now in the care of R.E.A.D.C. team and are provided with all the care and love they need after such a traumatic experience. Fântânica is now our mascot and Becky became our partners’ mascot, Tasso e.V. Germany.
Usually the main objectives of Rescue Centre in Beliș are preventing mountain accidents, preventive patrol, rescuing injured and sick people in the area and, more recently, saving endangered animals.
